Free Student Online Nutrition Lesson is Launched!

A new online, stand-alone student nutrition lesson “Fast Food: Healthy Choices” is ready for your ESL students on the Lessons for Living Well: Nutrition Education for Adult ESL website.   This online, interactive lesson has audio and video, health-related vocabulary development, life skills reading and listening practice and provides critical health information for adult ESL learners.

Who can use the lesson? 
Intermediate level and above ESL students with basic computer skills (using a mouse, navigating within a website, minimal keyboarding skills).

How do I use the lesson?
There are many ways to use the lesson.  You can integrate it into a unit on nutrition, teach it as a whole-class lesson, assign it as practice in a lab. or, for students with Internet access at home, as homework.  You can also post the link on your class’ lab or program website as a resource for students. 

How can I preview the lesson?
Click on Student Online Lesson button on this website, or click here Lessons for Living Well

How can my students see the lesson?
Post the link  Lessons for Living Well on your program or class website, or, have your students enter this address in an Internet browser: http://www.lessonsforlivingwell.org/.  If you click on Student Online Lesson button, you can print out the page with the Internet address for your students.
